ICC World Cup Qualifier 2018: Zimbabwe, Scotland match ends in tie; West Indies, Ireland qualify for Super Sixes



Ireland vs United Arab Emirates .
In the Match 18 of Group A of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2018, Paul Stirling led Ireland's total to 313 in 44 overs against UAE. In his innings of 126, Stirling hit 15 fours and 5 sixes. He along with William Poterfield (92) added 205 runs to the opening wicket. Kevin O'Brian scored quick 50 runs off 26 balls helping Ireland post a huge total. Mohammad Naveed picked up 3 wickets but also was the most expensive of all bowlers.
UAE never looked in the game as they were losing wickets at regular intervals. Their innings was soon winded up for mere 91. The highest score in the innings was under 20 with Ghulam Shabber scoring 19. Boyd Ranking took 4 for 15 in his 6 overs winning it for Ireland under 30 overs.

West Indies vs Netherlands .
West Indies posted a mammoth total of 309 in a rain curtailed match of 48 overs against Netherlands. Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis gave a good start to the innings with opening partnership of 85 runs. Lewis (84) was heading for a century but fell in the 28th over to Peter Borren. Previous match centurion Rovman Powell added 52 quick runs to the total at the end of the innings.
Netherlands were fighting hard to secure their spot in the Super Sixes. They were 142 for 2 at one stage but lost the next 4 wickets for 25 runs. Ryan ten Doeschate and Wesley Barresi were the top scorer for Netherlands with 67 and 64 runs respectively. Three of Six Netherlands batsmen were run out as West Indies won the match by 54 runs (D/L method).

Zimbabwe vs Scotland
In the Match 20 of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2018, table topper Zimbabwe elected to bat first against Scotland. Zimbabwe managed to post a total of 210 as they were all-out in the 47th over. Criag Ervine and Brendan Taylor were top scorer for the host with 57 and 44 runs respectively. It was Safyaan Sharif for Scotland who took a destroyed Zimbabwe's batting lineup with fifer.
In reply, Scotland scored the exact same runs as the match ended up in a tie. Richie Berrington was the top scorer for Scotland with 47 runs. Michael Leask held his nerve and took the match to the last over when Brad Wheal was caught behind to Blessing Muzarabani. Graeme Cremer took 3 for 23 in his quota of 10 overs.

INDW vs AUSW, 1st ODI: Australia beat India by eight wickets

Australian women cricket team won the first ODI of three-match series against India by eight wickets at Reliance Stadium, Vadodara, on Monday.
