In a bid to find their berth in ICC World Cup 2019, 10 teams will go head to head in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers from March 4. The 2019 World Cup will staged at England and Wales from May 30 to July 14. West Indies, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe are considered to the be the top contenders to find their berth in the 2019 World Cup. Alongside West Indies and the UAE in Group A are Ireland, Netherlands and Papua New Guinea (PNG). Afghanistan, on the other hand, are with Zimbabwe, Scotland, Hong Kong and Nepal in Group B. Each side will play the every other team in their group once. The top three teams from the groups progressing to the Super Sixes, where each team will each play the sides they did not meet in the group stage.
All points won in the groups (2 for wins, 1 for no result and 0 for defeat) will be carried over to the Super Sixes apart from those gained against the bottom two from each group. The top two teams in the Super Six stage will qualify for the World Cup.
