Some interesting facts about IPL:
  1. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only player to Captain his team in all the editions of the tournament. Except 2017.
  2. Opening Games of IPL always featured Mumbai Indians or Kolkata Knight Riders or both. Except 2017.
  3. Sachin Tendulkar was the first Indian player to win Orange cap & other two are Robin Uthappa, 2014 Virat Kohli, 2016.
  4. Gayle and Warner are the only Players to win 2 Orange Caps in IPL.
  5. Virat Kohli hold the record for most number of runs in a single edition – 973 Runs.
  6. Virat Kohli is only player to have 4 centuries in single edition, 2016.
  7. CSK has been a part of 6 Finals, most by any Team in IPL. (2008,2010,2011,2012,2013,2015).
  8. Rohit Sharma is only player who has lifted 4 times IPL trophy.
  9. Delhi Daredevils is the only Team to NOT reach the IPL Final at least once. (Team having 4 year of experience in IPL).
  10. Chris Gayle has scored 5 Centuries in IPL, most by any player.
  11. Out of 13 teams which took part in IPL, 6 different teams have managed to win the Trophy at least once.
  12. Rajasthan Royals has won the inaugural edition in 2008.
  13. Deccan Chargers Hyderabad won the tournament in 2009 which was held in South Africa.
  14. Chennai Super Kings has won on two different occasions 2010 & 2011.
  15. Mumbai Indians also won the tournament three times in 2013, 2015 & 2017.
  16. Kolkata Knight Riders has also won the IPL trophy in two editions in 2012 & 2014.
  17. Sunrise Hyderabad has also won IPL trophy in 2016.

INDW vs AUSW, 1st ODI: Australia beat India by eight wickets

Australian women cricket team won the first ODI of three-match series against India by eight wickets at Reliance Stadium, Vadodara, on Monday. Opting to bat first, India’s opening batting order collapsed and Pooja Vastrakar scored the maiden half-century of her ODI career, thus becoming the first Indian woman player to hit a fifty at number nine. After winning the toss, stand-in skipper Harmanpreet Kaur opted to bat and the decision backfired as Indian team lost half of their batters even before reaching the 100-run mark. However, India’s lower batting order stabilised the innings, but that was too late. Bowler Pooja Vastrakar, along with wicket-keeper batswoman Sushma Verma, put a 76-run partnership for the eighth wicket. Sony Sports Network Channels to broadcast NBA Games in India during Prime Time

The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced the first-ever broadcasts of live NBA games in India during primetime. From March 11 – April 8, 2018, the NBA will schedule a weekly game for live primetime broadcast in India every Sunday at 10:00 p.m. India Standard Time (IST) on Sony SIX, Sony SIX HD, Sony TEN 3 and Sony TEN 3 HD. This builds on the league’s NBA Sundays campaign, a weekly live primetime game on Sunday evenings in Europe and Africa. The five games airing in India will feature some of the league’s biggest stars, including the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid.
